HARTFORD — Legislators are waiting to react to Gov. Ned Lamont’s Feb. 20 budget proposal and any possible changes to early child care programs. In the meantime, they are looking at other ways to improve services to children and families. One of those ideas was raised to by the Education Committee Monday. The committee voted to raise the concept of requiring the Office of Early Childhood to develop a compensation schedule for early childhood educators.
