A $26-million project that rehabilitated the southbound span of the Gold Star Memorial Bridge is coming to an end. Gold Star is Connecticut’s largest bridge with more than a million square feet of deck surface spread over 11 vehicle traffic lanes and a pedestrian sidewalk. The two bridges carry about 117,000 vehicles a day.
