A 39-year-old Colchester man has been arrested on murder charges. Elmar Baker, of Renee Drive, was charged with murder and is being held on $2 million bond. Shorly after 8 p.m., troopers received 911 calls of a man down in an apartment complex parking lot. Troopers found the man in the parking lot unresponsive with apparent stab wounds. The victim, who has not been identified was pronounced dead. Detectives from the Eastern District Major Crime squad found a “person of interest.” Baker was questioned and then arrested by state police. He will appear in Norwich Superior Court on Wednesday.
