Connecticut police officers have agreed to settle an alleged brutality lawsuit by a man who was shown beaten and bloody on the TV show “Live PD.” Ernesto Castro sued seven Bridgeport police officers in federal court last year alleging they used excessive force and violated his constitutional rights in November 2016. Lawyers in the case recently told a judge there was a settlement that needs to be approved by the Bridgeport City Council. Terms were not disclosed. Police said Castro had a gun in his waistband and officers punched him repeatedly when he ignored their commands and fought with them. In the suit, Castro’s attorney Robert Berke claimed the officers threw him to the ground and beat his face, torso and back.
