Ex-lawyer gets 13 years in sex assault of youth

NEW HAVEN — Seven years of sexual misconduct with a young man cost a Shelton lawyer his license, $215,000 and 13 years of freedom Monday. "There are more questions than answers about what happened ... about what you are going to do in the future," U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer told Peter Kruzynski, the 51-year-old Jesuit-educated lawyer standing before him. "You're really a risk to go back, explore and cross the line again." But Kruzynski, a stocky gray-haired man wearing prison khakis, insisted he is not a pedophile. While addressing the judge, he turned to the dark-haired, bearded victim sitting in the courtroom with his mother, father and grandmother and apologized. His victim was 11 when the assaults started in April 2009.
