HARTFORD — At a candidate forum for Democrats running for attorney general and treasurer Wednesday night, Shawn Wooden and Dita Bhargava had a fiery duel over who can best manage Connecticut’s money and pensions while promoting progressive values. Though less pointed in their comments, William Tong, Chris Mattei and Paul Doyle also distinguished themselves, disputing whether a legislator’s or prosecutor’s experience is better for the next attorney general. The candidate forum at Hartford Public Library was the first event since the state party convention that put the three Democrats running for attorney general on stage together to answer questions about their ideas and backgrounds.
