MONROE — Two projects on busy roadways in town are expected to impact local traffic in the coming weeks. The Town of Monroe shared a post on Facebook telling residents recent weather conditions prevented crews from paving on Route 111. The Connecticut Department of Transportation said paving is planned to begin on Tuesday. The paving on Route 111 is expected to run from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day. Delays and lane closures along Route 111 from the area of the roundabout to Masuk High School. Traffic control personnel and signage will be used to guide motorists through the work zone. And Route 111 isn’t the only roadway in Monroe getting some work done.
