OLD LYME — A pedestrian was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a box truck on I-95 early this morning. The pedestrian suffered a serious injury, police said. Life Star was requested at the scene. The crash happened around 6:42 a.m. on I-95 northbound near exit 70 in Old Lyme. The box truck involved in the collision reportedly did not stop at the scene, however it was tracked down shortly thereafter. All northbound lanes were closed to traffic while police investigated the scene, but they have since been opened. Police said they will give an update on the accident later in the day.
