State Department of Energy and Environmental Protection have seized several venomous that were offered for sale on an online snake forum. The 21-year-old Meriden man was arrested after a search of his home found seven live snakes and two dead one. Among the snakes that were found alive include a Gaboon Viper, a Forest Cobra, Two Egyptian Banded Cobras and Two Monocled Cobras. A Tree Viper and a King Cobra were also found deceased. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service alerted state officials to advertisement on a snake forum for the sale of several venomous snakes.
