Local business leaders looking to stymie workplace harassment took action this week by starting with an open dialogue. Members of the Women’s Leadership Council of the Bridgeport Regional Business Council and elected officials gathered at Housatonic Community College on Thursday for a discussion addressing long-standing issues about several forms of harassment on the job. “One of the things we are trying to do here is talk about the stories and how it’s relevant in so many different ways either because of their own experiences or because within business they’ve observed or been subject to harassment where they are in positions of power to help manage it,” said Mary Beth Nelson, chair of the Women’s Leadership Council.
