Almost two weeks after Mark Boughton, the Danbury mayor and Republican candidate for governor, collapsed from an apparent seizure at a campaign event, his doctors have given him the all clear to continue with his campaign so long as he listens to their advice from here on out. “I have no problem with him continuing his campaign or going at the rate that he is,” said Dr. Spyros Smith, Boughton’s general physician from the Danbury Medical Group. “As long as he does what he needs to do to stay healthy, and is smart about how he does it, he should have no problems. I think this was the wake up call to take better care and listen to his doctors.
