BRIDGEPORT — A city man faces a maximum term of life in prison after he pleaded guilty Tuesday for his role in a Bridgeport-based heroin trafficking organization, the Department of Justice said. Eric Green, 31, of Bridgeport, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute one kilogram or more of heroin, the DOJ said. Green was a member of a city-based heroin trafficking organization that, between April 2015 and March 2017, received at least 30 kilograms of heroin from Mexico, the DOJ said. The organization then distributed the heroin in the Bridgeport area. An investigation into the heroin trafficking included multiple controlled purchases of heroin from Green.
