ANSONIA — An Ansonia man pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute, crack cocaine, according to the Department of Justice. Court documents showed that 22-year-old Jacob Freeman, of Ansonia, was “a member of a drug trafficking organization that trafficked large quantities of crack cocaine throughout the Naugatuck Valley,” the DOJ said. A police investigation showed that members of the organization would share the same cell phone and use it in shifts to service drug customers. Between May and Sept. 2017, investigators made multiple controlled purchases of crack cocaine from Freeman and other members of the organization.
