BRIDGEPORT — A tip to security Friday morning at Blackham School led to the recovery of a loaded gun, officials said. At 10:05 a.m., security was alerted that a student might have a weapon in a book bag, Principal Marcie Julian said in a letter to parents Saturday. Two minutes later, Julian said the loaded weapon was found and the book bag was confiscated. By 10:15 a.m., police were called to the scene and a lock in/lock out was issued. During the initial investigation, police an administration learned there may have been an additional weapon. Five minutes later, an air compressed pellet gun was found and confiscated from another student.
