After a Friday afternoon shooting in Bridgeport, Fairfield officers managed to detain the suspected responsible parties and turn them over to Bridgeport police, officials said. The shooting took place around noon Friday. “Bridgeport Police put out a broadcast on the hotline for officers to be on the lookout for a dark colored Dodge Challenger,” Lt. Robert Kalamaras said. Fairfield officers located the suspect vehicle described, initiated a motor vehicle stop and were able to turn the suspects over to Bridgeport police without incident, according to Kalamaras. The incident remained under Bridgeport police investigation Friday, Capt. Roderick Porter said. Bridgeport police officials were unable to provide an update Saturday.
