WESTPORT — What does an orgasm have in common with smooth skin? Both can now be achieved with the help of medical science. Westport plastic surgeon Ellen Mahony is one of growing group of physicians who offer the provocatively named O-Shot — and yes, the “O” does stand for orgasm. “(Loss of sexual satisfaction) is a complaint a lot of people have,” said Mahony, who has 30 years experience in her field. In the procedure, a concentrated version of the patient’s own blood is injected into the clitoris and inside the vagina, with the aim of restoring blood flow, reversing tissue atrophy and improving nerve response. The end result, Mahony said, is improved sexual function and urinary continence.
