Connecticut Democrats lashed out at the prospect of Senate approval of the GOP tax bill, which would represent a huge win for President Donald Trump and Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill. “This is a terrible bill,” said Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., at a rally against passage Thursday. “From beginning to end, this bill is an epic disaster for the American people.” Kevin Sullivan, commissioner of the state Department of Revenue Services, called the Senate bill a “partisan fiscal lynching” a majority of Americans do not support.
