BRIDGEPORT — Residents should be weary of construction on Route 130 next week that will run for six hours each day. The City of Bridgeport warns that Route 130 at Stratford Avenue will be closed from Dec. 6 to Dec. 8. Each day, the construction will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The city said there will be a detour set up for traffic. “Statewide CTDOT will make every effort to minimize the inconvenience this will cause,” the city said. This road closure comes shortly after the city closed East Washington Avenue Bridge for repairs. On Tuesday, Nov. 28, the bridge was temporarily closed for about nine hours beginning at 7 a.m. The city said the repairs would help fix electrical issues due to storm and salt water damage.
