STRATFORD - Police have arrested the man accused of shooting Stratford bartender Regi Woodward during a robbery on Nov. 14. Jachim Brown, 30, of Bridgeport, was arrested Thursday on first-degree charges of assault, robbery and threatening, criminal possession of a pistol/revolver and ammunition and carrying a firearm without a permit. At around 7 p.m. on Nov. 14, police said, a man entered BAR at 2399 Main St. in Stratford, approached the bartender and demanded money. Woodward complied and was then shot once in the abdomen, police said. Brown has been in custody by Bridgeport police since Nov. 16 after a robbery at EbLens footwear store. Police matched the gun used in the Bridgeport robbery with the Stratford BAR shooting.
