STAMFORD — A convicted felon on probation for a gun offense was found in possession of cocaine and marijuana on Tuesday, according to city police. Denzel Riddick was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of more than half an ounce of marijuana. His age and address were not provided by police. Stamford police officers were in the area of Cove Road and Frederick Street on a quality of life detail when they spotted a traffic violation. The officers stopped the vehicle and immediately smelled marijuana, said a news release from Lt. Michael A. Noto. The driver, later identified as Riddick, told the officers he smoked marijuana earlier in the day and had some in his vehicle.
