The day after 11 people were killed at a synagogue in Pittsburgh, temples across the region are gathering to honor the victims. Congregations from throughout upper Fairfield County will stand in solidarity with the Tree of Life Congregation in Pittsburgh at a vigil at 1 p.m. Sunday at The Conservative Synagogue in Westport. The Federation for Jewish Philanthropy of Upper Fairfield County is organizing the event at 30 Hillspoint Road. “While no words can erase the tragic loss of life and our sadness because of it, our Jewish tradition shows us the value in being together to share sorrow and to find hope,” said David Weisberg, CEO of the Federation for Jewish Philanthropy of Upper Fairfield County, on the event’s Facebook page.
