MILFORD-Police stopped Frank Bernardo as he was driving onto the I-95 northbound entrance ramp near exit 35 for an equipment issue early Monday morning. What they discovered was a lot more. Bernardo, 24, of State Street, North Haven, was charged with operating a motor vehicle while his license was under suspension and failure to appear in court. Police learned that Bernardo failed to appear in Superior Court on March 21 on charges releated to a Feb. 21 motor vehicle accident in Orange. Bond was set at $500. Bernardo was ordered to appear in Superior Court on both Nov. 13 and Nov. 29.
