ANSONIA — Two adults and a dog fled their Wesley Street home during a fire Tuesday morning. Ansonia Fire Chief Ed Adamowski said no one was injured in the blaze, but that nearly the entire home suffered fire, smoke and water damage. He said it is unlikely the residents will be able to move back into the home shortly, but that the house is not a “total loss.” The fire department was called to the two-story house around 6:30 a.m. Three units from Ansonia and a crew from Derby took about a half hour to extinguish the flames, Adamowski said. The fire marshal is investigating what caused the fire, but Adamowski said the flames appeared to start on the left side of the home.
