SEYMOUR — The wood shop at Seymour High School is helping firefighters keep up on training with a recent build. The Great Hill Hose Co. fire station shared images of a small model house created by the Seymour High School wood shop for firefighters to use for training. Fire officials said it’s possible they might eventually burn it down to work on other skills other than basic training inside. The building is made up of ply wood and wood framing, the department said. There is some sheet rock on the inside and on doors and windows. “We will be able to run a few evolutions or stations using this model,” fire officials said.
