BRIDGEPORT - A local man was charged with attempted murder after police said he fired shots at his girlfriend’s former boyfriend. Jose Rosario, 29, of Evelyn Road, who is currently on parole for an assault conviction, was charged Wednesday with attempted murder, attempted first-degree assault, criminal possession of a pistol, carrying a pistol without a permit, illegal discharge of a firearm and reckless endangerment. He was being held in lieu of $350,000 bond. Police said a 38-year-old city resident complained to them that Rosario had been harassing him because of his prior relationship with Rosario’s girlfriend.
