Starting this summer, Connecticut State Police will be equipped with body-worn cameras. On Tuesday, the state Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection announced the purchase of 800 body cams. “Across the country, state and local police departments are striving to build trust and foster transparency, the foundational principles of positive relationships between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve and protect,” Dora Schriro, department commissioner, said in a statement.
