SHELTON — A Shelton High School student was arrested Monday morning after being found with a BB gun in her possession, school officials said in a statement. It was brought to the administration’s attention that the student might have a weapon and headmaster Dr. Beth Smith, school security and two police officers responded to the student’s classroom, according to a statement from Superintendent of Schools Chris Clouet. The student was removed from the classroom and police took her backpack, the statement said. She was taken to an office and found to be in possession of a BB gun. The student was arrested and removed from the campus and all students at the high school are safe, according to the statement.
