MILFORD - A Bridgeport man has been arrested on several charges after police said he assaulted officers and later urinated and and defecated in a jail cell. Rafael Cruz, 27, of French Street, was charged with three counts of assault of a police officer, two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief, creating a public disturbance, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and second-degree breach of peace. The incident happened on Saturday when police saw two men having a verbal argument outside a Daniels Street restaurant. Officers then observed one male attempt to walk away from the other man. Cruz then punched the man walking away with a closed fist. Officers intervened and separated the parties.
