Connecticut Audubon Society Center to host nature walk

FAIRFIELD — Those looking for an outdoor experience are encouraged to attend a free, one-hour nature walk next Saturday. The walk is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Connecticut Audubon Society Center, 2325 Burr St. in Fairfield. This walk is one of 250 statewide hiking events to celebrate the 2018 Connecticut Trails Weekend and American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day. Those who attend will participate in a guided walk through the Larsen Sanctuary. Attendees will observe bird habitats, see ecological points of interest and learn about conservation and protection efforts. The terrain for the hike is classified as easy to moderate. Pre-registration is required and can be done at ctaudubon.
