HAMDEN — Hamden police found about 100 underage people at a Whitney Avenue bar last Friday, just a day after Norwalk police raided a SoNo bar and busted a similar number of underage patrons. On April 20, Hamden police and the State of Connecticut Liquor Commission went to The Clubhouse on Whitney, 3816 Whitney Ave., for a liquor compliance check after receiving several complains of underage drinking at the establishment, Hamden police Capt. Ronald Smith said Wednesday. When the patrons at the Whitney Avenue bar were asked to show valid ID, about 100 people at the bar were shown to be under the age of 21. “Police seized 42 fraudulent identifications,” Smith said.
