BRIDGEPORT — A chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity will host a tribute and brunch in honor of one of its members next month. The Rho Upsilon chapter of the fraternity has been in Bridgeport since 1952. The nonprofit organization was founded in 1911 at Howard University in Washington, D.C. Charlie B. Tisdale, a member of the fraternity’s Bridgeport chapter, will be honored at the brunch from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 15 at Holiday Inn on Main Street. Tisdale is the executive director of the Action for Bridgeport Community Development — a community agency that serves the greater Bridgeport area for child care, energy assistance, housing and youth services. The event will begin the initiation of the Charlie B.
