BRIDGEPORT - A local man was charged Wednesday with repeatedly raping over a dozen years. Orane Cole, 42, was charged with aggravated first-degree sexual assault, first-degree unlawful restraint and threatening. “This is one of the most horrendous statements of fact I have ever read,” Senior Assistant State’s Attorney Tatiana Messina told Superior Court Judge William Holden as Cole stood handcuffed before the judge Wednesday afternoon. “And she prosecutes sexual assault cases,” the judge lamented. He ordered Cole held in lieu of $500,000 bond and continued the case to March 13.
