Bridgeport police charge juvenile for role in 2016 murder

BRIDGEPORT — City cops arrested a juvenile Tuesday morning for his role in an Aug. 2016 murder, police spokesman Av Harris said. The juvenile — who was not identified because he is a minor — was charged with murder, felony murder, first-degree conspiracy to commit robbery, third-degree larceny and carrying a pistol without a permit. He is being held on a $1 million bond. “An additional arrest is expected shortly,” Harris said. On Aug. 27, 2016, Shane Slinsky was gunned down on Wood Terrace in Bridgeport. Slinsky had been shot twice in the head. He was the sixth homicide of 2016. Slinsky, 18, of Stamford, was believed to have been shot during a “drug deal gone bad,” Harris said back in 2016.
