A Rhode Island man caught a state trooper’s attention early Sunday morning when his vehicle was clocked going 90 mph. When a trooper stopped Mohamed Jones, 21, of Providence, he detected “an odor consistent with fresh marijuana to be coming from the interior of the vehicle.” A search of the vehicle found more than nine and a half-pounds of weed, state police said. The incident began at 12:48 a.m. Sunday when a state trooper saw Jones’ car driving more than 90 mph on northbound I-95 in Clinton. In a report by Trooper Matthew Ewing, “two small baggies, and a loose quanity inside the ash tray were located in the cabin of the vehicle.
