SHELTON — On a recent afternoon, the section of the Far Mill River behind 8 Trout Creek Road flowed more calmly and quietly than usual. It was, as ever, in constant motion. In fact, the view of the river is one of the things homeowner Cynthia Barrett has always loved about the town house, nestled in the Aspen Ridge Estates development in Shelton’s Huntington section. Usually, she said, the water is a bit more active, particularly when there’s rain or snow around. “When we moved here, the river was roaring like an ocean,” Barrett said. The Barretts, who are planning to move into a senior community, are selling the home, which is listed at $759,000.
