BRIDGEPORT — The second floor of the Margaret E. Morton Government Center transformed into a gallery Thursday evening with artists mingling among family and friends. Golden narwhals swam in a blue and green ocean. A Mondrian-like grid of colors on a blue background caught eyes, as did dancers pirouetting against a rainbow of blue, brown, cranberry, red and tan. All the art is for sale. More than 200 people were expected to gather during the launch of the Kennedy Center’s annual calendar — “A Unique Perspective.” “It’s like the Academy Awards for our artists,” said Marty Schwartz, president and CEO of the Kennedy Center. “It gives us an opportunity to showcase the great talents of our artists.
