BRIDGEPORT — A female victim showed up at a local hospital with a gunshot wound Wednesday evening, according to dispatch reports. Officers responded to a hospital in the city around 7:50 p.m. after they were contacted by Bridgeport Hospital. The hospital told police that a gunshot wound victim was being treated in the emergency room. Information regarding her condition was not immediately made clear. Police were sent to the area of Stratford Avenue and Hollister Avenue to canvas for shell casings, reports indicated. The victim told police that she was sitting in her car in front of a store in the area when a vehicle drove by and started shooting.
