BRIDGEPORT — After more than 10 years working as a certified nursing assistant, Valerie Jeannot came to realize that nothing was more important than how she treated patients. While some might see the work as just another job, the Bridgeport resident said she saw the value in building a connection with the families and clients she worked with on a foundation of respect and compassion. Those are just a few of the values Jeannot incorporated in her business model when she and her husband, Luders, started Va.Lu.Able Home Care. “We wanted to make a difference in the industry,” Jeannot said. “Not working (just) for the salary is important. We need the salary, but we will change the game with love.
