Trumbull rallies around long-time doctor in need of kidney donor

Mongillo is on a kidney transplant waitlist with the Montefiore Medical Center, located in the Bronx. He is hoping for a kidney from a living donor. Hospital staff have told him and his family that the wait time to receive a new kidney from a deceased donor is at least seven years.
