Popular Derby fishing spot may finally get new pier

The fishing pier project was previously approved for construction in 2015, after a protracted environmental cleanup process. But the project was delayed by budget shortfalls and red tape. The project is now ready to go out for bid and so far, there are three contractors interested in the project.
