Bridgeport pays $45,000 to police officer in discrimination lawsuit

Sgt. James Geremia has settled his federal discrimination suit against the city. Lt. Ronald Mercado, who also sued the city for the same situation, rejected a settlement offer and is proceeding with a trial in U.S. District Court.
