Coming soon to Hearst CT: An updated look at COVID-19, the present and the future

It’s been about 11 months since the country — and our state — came face to face with a deadly pandemic that would change our lives forever. In that time, we’ve experienced unimaginable loss and marveled at incredible courage.

Near the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Hearst Connecticut Media presented The Road Ahead, an in-depth look at what life might look like after deadly pandemic.

In the coming days online, and in print on Sunday, we’ll present The Road Home, an updated examination of where we are now and where we are headed.

The Road Home will tell stories of the heroism we’ve seen, from front-line medical workers to teachers and first responders. We’ll report on families that have lost loved ones but have found strength in the support of family and friends. The Road Home will tell stories of business owners who have adapted to the new normal to survive and high school athletes who have lost seasons but have kept their hopes of returning the field alive.

And we’ll document the great hope that new vaccines have brought to our communities.

The Road Home will provide deep reporting on all aspects of the pandemic and the people of Connecticut who have navigated their way through this life-changing time.
