MILFORD-Police arrested a New Haven man for allegedly punching a Target loss prevention employee who was attempting to apprehend two female shoplifters. Ryan Norton, 28 of Grand Avenue, New Haven was arrested Wednesday afternoon on a warrant charging him with second-degree robbery, third-degree assault, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny and sixth-degree larceny. He was released on a promise to appear in Superior Court on Feb. 26. Police said Norton punched and pushed the Target employee to the ground on Oct. 5, 2018 during an incident in the Connecticut Post Mall. At the time the employee was attempting to apprehend two female customers suspected of shoplifting.
