Congressional delegation seeks Long Island Sound money

A Congressional coalition from Connecticut and New York State is asking President Donald Trump for money to improve Long Island Sound, saying the waterway’s health remains fragile and in danger. "If we consider the status quo acceptable, the Long Island Sound and the coastline we know will not be recognizable to the next generation," the U.S. Senators and House members said in a letter to Trump. "As a result, the vibrant business community and economic activity the Sounds supports will dwindle," they said.
