BRIDGEPORT — A victim of an armed robbery accidentally shot himself in the city Tuesday evening, dispatch reports indicated. Shortly after 9 p.m., Bridgeport police were dispatched to a location in the 100 block of Huntington Turnpike for two 911 calls about shots fired. One caller reported possibly hearing a dispute beforehand. When police arrived, minutes later, they found a male in the back of the location with a gunshot wound to the leg. Dispatch reports indicated that the male told the officers that he accidentally shot himself during an armed robbery. A bag containing the victim’s wallet and thousands of dollars in cash was taken.
