ANSONIA-As the city prepares to add onto its Riverwalk it is seeking input from residents. A public information hearing on the next two phases of the Riverwalk is slated for Nov. 8 at 6 p.m. in City Hall, 253 Main Street. “We are hoping to go out to bid in December with the construction work to begin in the spring,” said Sheila O’Malley, the city’s economic development director and grants writer. She believes construction could be completed by the fall. These segments will take the Riverwalk from Pershing Drive to South Main Street and the Target shopping center site. Current plans include a multi-use trail with fencing along the Naugatuck River flood control dikes on South Main Street, south of Target.
