That’s Governor Martin Looney, to you. As the Senate President Pro Tem, Looney is third in line for the governor’s office and with Gov. Dannel P. Malloy on vacation in Ireland and Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman at a conference in New Orleans, Looney has been left in charge of the state government for a week, the governor’s office confirmed. Looney, a Democrat from New Haven, presided over the state Senate during the once-a-year veto session Monday, and will fill in where necessary for the governor and lieutenant governor for the rest of the week.
