MONROE — Those interested in learning about a book written by a Simsbury resident can attend a discussion Tuesday. The event is expected to run from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Monroe’s Edith Wheeler Memorial Library, 733 Monroe Turnpike, in the Ehlers Meeting Room. Professionally trained chef John E. Finn, author of “The Perfect Omelet: Essential Recipes for the Home Cook,” will talk about the process of writing his book. He will also demonstrate omelet preparation. Audience members will have a chance to try samples and prepare their own omelet. Registration is required for this event. As of Saturday, there are 53 spaces available.
