The law firm that represented former White House Communications Director Hope Hicks received $450,000 from the Republican National Committee last month, new public disclosures show. Hicks, who grew up in Greenwich, retained Robert Trout of the D.C.-based firm Trout Cacheris & Janis to represent her in special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation before she left the White House. The disclosure was filed Sunday with the Federal Elections Commission and did not name Hicks, as disclosure reports typically do not name clients or the nature of the work. The RNC made payments for “legal and compliance services” to the firm of $275,534.09 on April 18 and $176,245.87 on April 19.
