The top three GOP candidates for governor spent Tuesday sparring over how they want to spend their summer. Tim Herbst, the former Trumbull first selectman who picked up enough delegate votes to force a primary with Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton, doubled down on his challenge of 10 debates in 10-ish weeks. Herbst last week challenged Boughton; Westport businessman Steve Obsitnik, who also earned enough votes to make it on the August primary ballot; and three petitioning candidates who have yet to actually make it on the ballot, but received no response.
